Women who became friends at INN Days and have since met up at other journalism conferences realized when discussing the particular challenges women news leaders face that we should form a group where we can discuss these challenges and strategies to address them. That’s how Women Leading the News was formed.

Being a news leader can sometimes feel like a lonely and difficult journey, but it doesn’t have to be. We can provide essential support to each other as a community. Women still face challenges as leaders. Peer support can be an important source of knowledge and help.
